The changing landscape of Colombo Fort would surely baffle anyone visiting the metropolis after several years. I who happened to take a stroll in Fort recently after many years was no exception. The first thing that caught my eyes was the now renovated old Dutch Hospital building which till recently housed the Fort Police Station. The heritage building has been restored to its former glory giving the area an aura of grandiosity, thanks to the meticulous work done by the Army under the supervision of the defence ministry.
