Ambassador Sarrath Kongahage invites Investors from Europe to Sri Lanka – New Year reception of Diplomatic Council in Frankfurt, Germany
The Diplomatic Council with headquarters in The Hague / Netherlands held a New Year reception for 2014. More than 450 guests including ambassadors and diplomats from Antigua-Babuda, Ghana, Great Britain, India, Japan, Malta, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia and leading personalities from the German business community were present.
The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Berlin has celebrated this year's Day of Independence with a Ceremony on 4th February and a Reception on 8th February. Both events took place at the Embassy premises.

The Bavarian Finance State Secretary Albert Füracker informed about this result of globalization in Munich. The State Literary Awards in Sri Lanka for the year 2012 were recently held at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo, where many writers won awards for their contributions. The Best Children's Literature Award in English was won by Mr. Neville Perera for his book 'Kitty and the Bell Necklace'.
The Hon. Consul of Sri Lanka for Bremen Mr. Thomas Kriwat and H.E. the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Germany organized an event to celebrate the 60th anniversary of diplomatic Relations between Sri Lanka and Germany at the Kunsthalle Bremen, a renowned art museum in Bremen. A large number of Germans, Sri Lankan expatriates, Bremen Business community, students, the staff of the Jakobs University and the Embassy staff participated in the event.
